pauṣa-māse āila duṅhe sāmagrī kariyā
sandhyā-paryanta rahe apekṣā kariyā

Synonyms

pauṣa-māse—the month of Pauṣa (December-January); aila—came; duṅhe—Śivānanda Sena and Jagadānanda; sāmagrī kariya—making all arrangements; sandhyā-paryanta—until the evening; rahe—remain; apekṣā kariya—waiting. 

Translation

When the month of Pauṣa arrived, both Jagadānanda and Śivānanda collected all kinds of paraphernalia for the Lord’s reception. Every day, they would wait until evening for the Lord to come.
