ekadā kaśyapas tasyā
āśramaṁ bhagavān agāt
nirutsavaṁ nirānandaṁ
samādher virataś cirāt

Synonyms

ekadā—one day; kaśyapaḥ—the great sage Kaśyapa Muni; tasyāḥ—of Aditi; āśramam—to the shelter; bhagavan—greatly powerful; agat—went; nirutsavam—without enthusiasm; nirānandam—without jubilation; samādheḥ—his trance; viratah—stopping; cirāt—after a long time. 

Translation

After many, many days, the great powerful sage Kaśyapa Muni arose from a trance of meditation and returned home to see the āśrama of Aditi neither jubilant nor festive.
